Arrival of USAID rescue teams

- At 15:22 on March 13, 2011, in response to the Tohoku - Pacific Ocean Earthquake, 2 rescue teams (72 personnel each) of United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and others arrived at Misawa Airport on a chartered aircraft.
- Respective rescue teams consist of specialists in search medical care and rescue, engineers and six rescue dogs.
- The rescue teams will go to Ohunato in Iwate Prefecture and will be engaged in search and rescue activities under the direction of the Tokyo Fire Department which is already in operation there.
