Acceptance of rescue teams of Germany and Switzerland

- In response to Tohoku - Pacific Ocean Earthquake, teams of rescue of Germany and Switzerland are scheduled to arrive at Narita Airport in the morning of March 13, 2011. German rescue team consists of three rescue dogs and forty three relevant personnel. Swiss rescue team consists of nine rescue dogs and twenty seven relevant personnel. The rescue teams' areas of activity are being finalized.
- From the Government of Germany, letters of condolences and sympathy were sent from President Wulff to His Majesty the Emperor and from Foreign Minister Westerwelle to Foreign Minister Matsumoto respectively. From the Government of Switzerland, letters of condolences and sympathy were sent from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Government of Japan deeply appreciates the cooperation of the Government of Germany and the Government of Switzerland.
