The draft outline was created following the agreement reached this May at the TICAD IV Ministerial Follow-up Meeting held in Dakar, Senegal, between Japan and African nations to formulate a strategy for low-carbon growth of Africa, incorporating views exchanged in previous meetings with African countries and TICAD co-hosts.

  3. Japan will present an interim report on African Green Growth Strategy at the upcoming TICAD IV Ministerial Follow-up Meeting in 2012, and plans to present a final report of it on the occasion of the World Bank-IMF General Assembly to be held in autumn 2012 in Tokyo.
