Arrival of the Drain Pump Vehicles for the Japan Disaster Relief (JDR) Expert Team in Thailand (Arrival Ceremony)

  1. On Friday, November 18, 10 drain pump vehicles arrived at the Port of Laem Chabang, Thailand (The vehicles left Yokohama Port on November 5). The vehicles will be used by the Japan Disaster Relief (JDR) Expert Team (drain pump vehicle team), which is dispatched to Thailand to relieve the flood damage in the country.

  2. On the same day, the Government of Thailand hosted arrival ceremony of the drain pump vehicles, which was attended by H.E. Mr. Seiji Kojima, Ambassador of Japan to Thailand and members of the JDR Expert Team, and H.E. Mr. Yongyuth Wichaidit, Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand and Minister of Interior and H.E. Dr. Wannarat Channukul, Minister of Industry. After the ceremony, the vehicles departed for Ayutthaya Province, where will be the area of operations for the period to come.

  3. The JDR Expert Team (drain pump vehicle team) will support the Thai Government's drainage efforts in the affected areas in and around Ayutthaya Province.
