Japanese

  1. Japan is aware that President of the Republic of Tunisia, H.E. Mr. Zine El Abidine BEN ALI, left the country and that Prime Minister, H.E. Mr. Mohamed GHANNOUCHI, will exercise the presidential duties temporarily.  Japan continues to follow with serious concern the still unstable situation of Tunisia.

  2. Japan regrets there have been many casualties through a series of crashes between citizens and security forces since last December and calls on Tunisian people to cooperatively overcome the difficult circumstances in order to avoid further bloodshed.

  3. Japan hopes that stability will be brought to the country promptly and that political, economic, and social reforms will be implemented toward stabilizing civil life.
