Japan-India Two-Plus-Two Dialogue and Japan-India Foreign Office Consultations

- Japan-India Two-Plus-Two Dialogue and Japan-India Foreign Office Consultations will be held on July 6 (Tue) in New Delhi. Two-Plus-Two Dialogue is the framework which was agreed to establish by the Prime Ministers of Japan and India at the Annual Summit in Delhi, December 2009, and endorsed in the Action Plan to advance security cooperation between Japan and India, and this is the first Dialogue.
- In Two-Plus-Two Dialogue, the Japanese participants will be Mr. Kenichiro Sasae, Deputy for Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Kimito Nakae, Administrative Vice-Minister of Defense and other officials from the two ministries. From India, Ms. Nirupama Rao, Foreign Secretary, Mr. Pradeep Kumar, Defence Secretary and other officials from two ministries will participate. And in Foreign Office Consultations, the Japanese participants will be Mr. Kenichiro Sasae, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and other officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From India, Ms. Nirupama Rao, Foreign Secretary and other officials from the Ministry of External Affairs will participate.
- Both sides will exchange views on the security policies of each country, security cooperation between the two countries and regional issues in Japan-India Two-Plus-Two Dialogue. In the Japan-India Foreign Office Consultations, both sides will exchange views on the bilateral relations as well as the international and global issues.
