On March 23 (Tue) from 9:30 p.m., Mr. Katsuya Okada, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, had a telephone conversation with Mr. Manouchehr Mottaki, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran. During the conversation, the two Ministers referred to recent close and high-level dialogues between the two countries, and also exchanged views regarding bilateral relations and international affairs including the Iranian nuclear issue.

Regarding the Iranian nuclear issue, Minister Okada once requested Iran to implement the relevant UN Security Council Resolutions, and make further efforts for full cooperation with the IAEA to build reliable relationship with the international community.
