Avalanche Disaster in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (Message of Condolence from Mr. Katsuya Okada, Minister for Foreign Affairs)

On February 5 (Fri) and 6 (Sat), avalanches took place in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, resulting in many victims. Mr. Katsuya Okada, Minister for Foreign Affairs, sent the following message of condolence to Dr. Zalmai Rassoul, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, on February 12 (Fri).
I would like to extend my deepest sympathies, on the loss of many people by the latest avalanche, and to extend my heartfelt condolences to you, your government and people.
I hope that the people of Afghanistan will make concerted efforts together to overcome these difficult circumstances.
