On August 20 (Thu), the Government of Japan decided to dispatch H.E. Mr. Yohei Kono, former Speaker of the House of Representatives, as Special Envoy to attend the State Funeral of H.E. Mr. Kim Dae-jung, former President of the Republic of Korea, scheduled to be held on August 23 (Sun). Special Envoy Kono will convey condolences to the officials of the Government of Korea and the bereaved family.
