- On October 30 (Fri), the Government of the Republic of Korea announced
that it had decided to establish a new Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT)
in order to contribute to stability and reconstruction assistance in Afghanistan.
- Assistance to Afghanistan is one of the most important issues for the
entire international community. The Government of Japan welcomes and highly
evaluates the proactive engagement of the ROK in assistance to Afghanistan
as exemplified in this decision.
- The Government of Japan will continue its proactive support for the efforts of Afghanistan for its stability and reconstruction along with the international community.
