Dispatch of Ambassador on Special Mission to Attend the Inauguration Ceremony of the President of the Republic of Ghana

- The Government of Japan has decided to dispatch to the Republic of Ghana
H.E. Mr. Junichiro Koizumi, former Prime Minister and Member of the House
of Representatives, as Ambassador on Special Mission. The Ambassador
will attend the Inauguration Ceremony of the President of the Republic of
Ghana to be held on January 7, 2009 (Wed) in Accra, the capital of the country.
- Japan has traditionally maintained a friendly relationship with the Republic of Ghana. To further develop the bilateral relations with Ghana, a stable and democratic nation in western Africa, Japan has decided to appoint H.E. Mr. Koizumi as Ambassador on Special Mission and send him to the Inauguration Ceremony.
