Statement by Press Secretary/Director-General for Press and Public Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the Serial Bombings Occurred in Algeria

1. The Government of Japan expresses its deepest condolences to the victims and the bereaved families and heartfelt sympathy to the many who were injured by the serial bombings which occurred in Algiers, the capital of Algeria, on the morning of April 11 .
2. Terrorism cannot be justified for any reason and the Government of Japan condemns anew in the strongest terms atrocious terrorism, which victimizes many innocent people.
