  1. In the presidential election in the Republic of Ghana, it has been confirmed through a free, fair and peaceful electoral process that H.E. Mr. John Agyekum Kufuor, the current President, will be re-inaugurated as the president of the country. Japan congratulates President Kufuor and the people of Ghana.

  2. Japan expects that Ghana will make further contributions to the realization and maintenance of peace and stability in Africa, in particular in West Africa, by continuously advancing democracy as a model country in Africa.
