Exchanges of Notes concerning the Contribution of Supplies and Services to the Armed Forces or Other Similar Entities of Italy, the Netherlands and Spain

The Signings and Exchanges of Notes concerning the Contribution of Supplies and Services to the Armed Forces or Other Similar Entities of Italy, the Netherlands and Spain in accordance with the Anti-Terrorism Special Measures Law took place on March 11 (Tue) in Tokyo between Ms. Yoriko Kawaguchi, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, and Mr. Claudio Glaentzer, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of the Italian Embassy in Japan, Mr. Egbert Frederik Jacobs, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Japan, and Mr. Francisco Javier Conde de Saro, Ambassador of Spain to Japan, respectively.
In extending assistance to Italy, the Netherlands and Spain under the Anti-Terrorism Special Measures Law, these Notes are exchanged to guarantee, in relation to the Three Principles on Arms Exports and other policy guidelines, that the supplies and services to these countries will be utilized consistently with the Charter of the United Nations and that they will not be transferred to third parties without the prior consent of the Government of Japan.
