Statement by the Press Secretary/Director-General for Press and Public Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the Relations between India and Pakistan

The Government of Japan welcomes the statement made by the Pakistani Prime Minister, Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali on 24 November, announcing the observance of a complete cease-fire along the Line of Control coming into effect after Ramadan as well as a set of proposals to improve relations between India and Pakistan. The Government of Japan also welcomes the positive response by the Government of India to this statement.
The Government of Japan hopes that these efforts will further promote improvement in India-Pakistan relations.
