  1. The Government of Japan strongly condemns the attack committed by an armed group on December 13 on the Indian Parliament, which is a symbol of the Indian democracy, in New Delhi, India. It expresses its deep sorrow over the people died during the operation against this terrorist acts and sympathy for bereaved family.

  2. The Government of Japan maintains firmly its position that terrorism cannot be justified, whatever kind of it may be, and resolutely condemns terrorism in any forms as we reconfirmed in our Japan-India Joint Declaration, which Prime Ministers Koizumi and Vajpayee made in Tokyo on December 10.
