  1.  On December 15 (Japan Standard Time), Mr. Yoshihiko Noda, Prime Minister, sent a message of condolence to The Honorable Barack Obama, President of the United States of America, upon hearing of the shooting that occurred in Connecticut State on the morning of December 14 (Eastern Standard Time).
  2.  In his message, Prime Minister Noda expressed condolences to the families of the victims of the shooting, and reminded that the hearts of the people of Japan are with the people of the United States.
