President of Mexico's VisitVisit to Japan by His Excellency Mr. Vicente Fox Quesada, President of the United Mexican States

June 2001

   His Excellency Mr. Vicente Fox Quesada, President of the United Mexican States, accompanied by a suite, paid an official working visit to Japan from 5 to 6 June 2001.

   During his stay in Japan, President Fox made a state call on His Majesty The Emperor of Japan.

   His Majesty The Emperor hosted a Court Luncheon in honor of the President.

   President Fox also met Mr. Junichiro Koizumi, Prime Minister of Japan.

   Prime Minister Koizumi hosted a dinner in honor of the President.

   The Government of Japan sincerely welcomes the visit of President Fox, which will further strengthen the friendly relations existing between Japan and the United Mexican States.
