His excellency Mr. Constantinos Simitis, Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic, and Mrs. Simitis, accompanied by a suite, paid an Official Visit to Japan from March 3 to 8, 2002.
During his stay in Japan, the Prime Minister was received in audience by His Majesty The Emperor and Empress of Japan.
The Prime Minister also held a meeting with Mr. Junichiro Koizumi, Prime Minister of Japan.
Prime Minister Koizumi of Japan hosted a Dinner in honor of the Prime Minister Simitis and Mrs. Simitis.
The Government of Japan sincerely welcomes the visit of the Prime Minister and Mrs. Simitis, which will further strengthen the friendly relations existing between Japan and the Hellenic Republic.
