Guidelines for application for accreditation of events commemorating the 40th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and Singapore
1. Fields for accreditation
Exchanges in various fields such as Politics, Economy, Society, Education, Science, Culture, Art, etc.
2. Organizations eligible for accreditation
Governmental Institutions, Local Governments, Private Companies, Cultural Institutions, NGOs, Research Institutions, Universities, etc.
3. Period
Events taking place from January 2006 - December 2006
4. Location
Japan
5. Conditions for accreditation
(1) The objective of the events should be to promote exchanges between Japan and Singapore in various fields to deepen mutual understanding and strengthening the friendship between the two countries.
(2) Events considered as regular commercial activities are not applicable; however,
- Commercial events especially designed for the purpose of commemorating the 40th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and Singapore are eligible, if the objective is to promote mutual understanding and exchanges between Japan and Singapore (e.g. Japanese products fair in a departmental store)
- Social activities of private companies are eligible even if the sponsorship of the said events by private companies is publicized. If the event takes place regularly, the organizers will be requested to add related elements for commemorating the 40th anniversary to the event.
6. Benefits of accreditation
(1) The organizer is able to use the "Event Commemorating the 40th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and Singapore accredited by the Second Southeast Asia Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the official logo for publicity materials (e.g. posters, flyers, websites).
(2) Accredited events (Japanese) will be listed on the Ministry's official website as one of the events commemorating the 40th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and Singapore.
7. Application procedures
(1) The following documents are required for submission:
