Prime Minister Koizumi Sends Message to New Prime Minister Abdullah and former Prime Minister Mahathir

  1. In connection with the swearing-in ceremony held in Istana Negara on this afternoon, H.E. Mr. Junichiro Koizumi, Prime Minister of Japan, issued a message to New Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, which expresses his sincere congratulations on Prime Minister Abdullah's inauguration as Prime Minister of Malaysia, and calls for cooperation to strengthen further the relationships between two countries.
  2. In addition, Prime Minister Koizumi issued a message to former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad to pay his respect for Dr. Mahathir's long-standing efforts toward increasing the friendship and cooperation between Malaysia and Japan.
