[This corresponds to: Country Assistance DB: <each country> Table-5 Japan's economic cooperation disbursements for East Asian countries]
Source: OECD/DAC

Notes:

  1. Government loan, etc. and Grant aid represent the amounts actually given during the calendar year, as part of the pledged amounts that have been determined in the exchange of notes (Government loan, etc. also represents the amount after deduction of the repayments by the aid recipient country).
  2. Technical cooperation consists of projects carried out by JICA, relevant ministries/agencies and municipalities.
  3. Due to rounding, the total figure may not match the sum of the individual parts.

2. Amount of DAC Countries' and International Organizations' ODA Disbursements to East Asian countries

Note:

  1. The rankings cover major international organizations.

3. Disbursements by Fiscal Year and Type

[This corresponds to: Country Assistance DB: <each country> Table-8 Details of Japan's disbursements by FY and aid form]

Notes:

  1. Fiscal year categorization: yen loan and grant aid projects are allocated in FYs based on the exchange of notes; and technical cooperation projects are allocated in FYs based on their budget year.
  2. The amounts are based on the following sources. For yen loans and grant aid projects, exchange of notes. For technical cooperation projects, cost disbursements posted by JICA, each ministry/agency, prefectures, etc.
  3. The accumulated total of yen loans excludes deferred and exempted debts.
  4. In FY2005 "Grant Aid for Increased Food Production" was renamed "Grant Assistance for Underprivileged Farmers."
  5. As for technical cooperation for FYs 2001 to 2004, figures without brackets cover entire Japan disbursements, while the bracketed figures represent the disbursements of JICA projects. For FY2005, only JICA's disbursements are shown, as the calculations were not ready for the entire Japan disbursements. The accumulated total for FY2005 represents the accumulation of the disbursements of JICA's technical cooperation projects that had been carried out through the entire period up to FY2005.
  6. "Dispatch of Study Team" consists of surveys and studies including: project-finding surveys; evaluation surveys; basic surveys and studies; and entrusted surveys.
  7. The accumulated totals may not match the sum of each of the totals, due to rounding. Fragmented amounts of disbursements are shown as 0.00.
  8. Project cancellation: a grant aid program for Indonesia in FY2004, the project for Rural Water Supply in the Province of NUSA TENGGARA BARAT and NUSA TENGGARA TIMUR.
  9. Yen loans offered to China in FY2005 were not listed as disbursements for FY2005, as exchange of notes (E/Ns) for those projects were concluded in June 2006.
  10. Project cancellation: a grant aid program for Myanmar in FY2005, the Project for Construction of the Myanmar-Japan Center for Human Resources Development.
  11. Project cancellation: a grant aid program for Mongolia in FY2003, the Project for Improvement of Primary Education Facilities PhaseⅡ(2/2).
