Issuance of Media ID Cards
Media ID Cards will be issued at the Media Accreditation Desk on the 3rd floor, Queen Mall, Queen's Square Yokohama on 4 November (2PM-7PM) and 5~14 November (8AM~7PM)- the access map to the Media Accreditation Desk [PDF].
To receive the Media ID Card, you are requested to show the E-mail containing your receipt number, etc. Please print out the E-mail and bring it along with a photo ID (employee ID, driver's license, passport, etc.).

All media organizations and media personnel must apply for Media ID cards (hereafter "Media IDs") for the coverage of the Leaders Week of APEC Japan 2010 (hereafter "APEC") and for the access to the IMC (International Media Center). To apply for Media IDs, registration of their media organization is required in advance. After getting your Media Organization registered successfully (Phase 1), please proceed to applications for Media IDs (Phase 2).
Procedure for Media Accreditation
- Register your Media Organization at ... . Each organization must select only one representative, and make registration in his/her name. [Closed]
- Once Media Organization has been registered successfully, the organization will be given the relevant URL, a user ID and a password necessary for applications for media IDs.
*Since all applicants for Media IDs of one registered organization share the same user ID and the same password, please be cautious of any abuse.
- Registered media organizations can access the relevant URL and apply for Media IDs for their personnel. Once an application for a Media ID has been accepted and accredited successfully, a confirmation number will be sent to registered e-mail address.

- PDF data of scanned certificate of employment (512KB or smaller) of the representative
Required documents for Application for Media ID Cards (Phase 2, Registration of Personal Information)
- PDF data of a scanned photograph-bearing ID (512KB or smaller)

NOTICE
- No registration for Media Organization after 20 October or application for Media IDs after 29 October will be accepted. Therefore, all persons expected to be engaged in media coverage activities at the APEC must apply in a timely manner.
- Due to the space constraints, only media pools among APEC economies may cover the APEC events. Media seeking to cover the events, must obtain an appropriate Pool Card besides the Media ID. Details regarding the Pool Cards will be informed in due course.
- Security will be strictly enforced in the area surrounding the IMC during the APEC. Those who are expected to access the areas around the IMC such as messengers or car drivers employed by media organizations, are also advised to apply for Media IDs.
- No special measures will be taken regarding entry into Japan or visa issuance for foreign media who are applying for the Media Organization Registration and Media IDs. It is the responsibility of each media organization to obtain visa for its members.
