The Outline of the International Media Center (IMC)

[Notice] From 8:00AM 7 November (Japan Time), further information on coverage of APEC events (including media guidelines) will be available on the IMC Information Network, the special site for accredited media, accessible only with the local area network in the IMC.

* The IMC is located within a restricted area. Security will be strictly enforced.

* Please use public transportation to visit the IMC. Minatomirai (Minatomirai Line) and Sakuragicho (JR Line) are the nearest and the most convenient stations.

Shuttle Service

Complimentary shuttle buses are provided for holders of authorized IDs issued for the Leaders’ Week (including the Media ID), from 6 to 15 November.

*The International Broadcasting Center (IBC) will be in operation from 9 November.

Admission to the IMC

Access to the IMC is permitted only to holders of the media ID cards or other authorized IDs issued by the Japanese Government exclusively for the APEC Leaders Week.

Media Parking (illustrated in the access map)

The Media Parking Area has been set up in Area 20, on the north side of the IMC, only for vehicles which have already obtained the parking pass.

Closed Circuit Television (CCTV)

CCTV will provide Host Broadcast (live and recorded) and text information on media coverage opportunities at several locations in the IMC.

Equipment for a Working Booth (3m wide x 3m long x 2.4m high, chargeable on users)

  • 1 Cylinder Lock

  • 4 Electrical Outlets (Type A, 100V, 15A, Earthed)
  • 1 LAN Port (Shared Service with Wire Connection)
  • 1 CATV Output
    Terrestrial Digital TV channels are available.
    No TV Monitor id provided.
    An optional set-top box (*) is also needed to view CCTV, CNN, etc.
  • 2 Fluorescent Lights (40W, with Switches)

*Applications for optional equipment / support (set-top boxes, power supply, telephones, LAN ports etc.) will be charged additionally.

International Broadcasting Center (IBC)

The IBC offers guest broadcasters a variety of support. The IBC will deliver live/recorded Host Broadcast, to Working Booths of the broadcasters and support transmission of footages to their home countries/regions.
