Inquiries Concerning Visas (Visa Information Service)
Inquiries about visa application procedures are accepted at the Center for Consular Services (Visa Section) and via the telephone service.
We are providing a service that enables you to obtain documents explaining the visa application procedures by FAX.
(1) Center for Consular Services (Visa Information Section)
The Center for Consular Services (Visa Information Section) explains about the documents that are necessary for the visa application, and responds to all other inquiries about visas.

To use this service, firstly dial the following number, and then when you are connected, enter the number that corresponds to the purpose of your call, in accordance with the audio guidance.

(3) Ministry of Foreign Affairs Information FAX Service (Visa Related) (24 hours a day)
This service enables people to use a telephone equipped with a fax machine to obtain guidance about a visa application procedure and the documents that must be prepared in Japan to make the visa application.
To use this service, firstly dial the following fax number then dial the ID code for the type of information you wish to receive. After that, follow the audio guidance.
