- Grant aid to Socialist Republic of Viet Nam
Mr. Takashima: Second is some information about grant aid to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.
The Government of Japan today decided to provide grant aid of up to 314 million yen (approximately US$2.6 million) to the Government of Viet Nam for the project for Improvement of Equipment of the National Hospital of Pediatrics.
With this grant aid, the National Hospital of Pediatrics of Viet Nam will be able to renew the worn-out medical equipment and replenish shortages. It is expected that this project will result in the improvement of medical care for the children of Viet Nam so that the infant mortality would be reduced.
