- The 3rd Meeting of Japan-Arab Economic Forum will be hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) , the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI), and the League of Arab States with the cooperation of relevant organizations, including the Japan Cooperation Center for the Middle East, over the two-day period from December 19 to December 20 in Tokyo, in order to discuss ways to further enhance economic relations between Japan and the Arab countries.
- The Japan-Arab Economic Forum was established as a framework of the ministerial-level dialogue for the purpose of strengthening mutual economic relations between Japan and the Arab countries through cooperation in a wide range of fields such as trade, investment, energy, science and technology and human resources development. Each Arab country is now addressing economic issues and diversification of their industries as their main concerns, requesting to Japan to enhance mutual economic relations throughout the entire Arab region. This provides Japanese enterprises with a chance to expand their businesses. It is expected that this forum will lead Japan to enhance its presence and promotional capabilities in the Arab region as well as to promote economic diplomacy, particularly that of resources.
- The dates and location for the Forum are as follows.

(2) Venue: The Prince Park Tower Tokyo
(3) Main Topics: Energy/Environment,Human Resources Development/Education/Science and Technology,Investment/Finance/Trade
