Holding of the seventh meeting of the Japan-Qatar Joint Economic Committee

On Monday, October 15, the seventh meeting of the Japan-Qatar Joint Economic Committee will be held at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
H.E.Mr. Kazuya Shimba, Parliamentary Senior Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, H.E.Mr. Yukio Edano, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, and other government officials are scheduled to attend the meeting on the Japanese side, while H.E. Mr. Abdulla bin Hamad Al-Attiyah, Chief of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority, H.E. Dr. Mohammed Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry, and other government officials are scheduled to attend the meeting on the Qatari side.
At the meeting, opinions will be exchanged mainly on the issue of energy, enhancement of the business environment, and economic issues such as investment between the two countries, based on the discussions that were carried out at the previous Joint Committee meetings and working group meetings since the establishment of the Joint Economic Committee in 2006.
