APEC Japan Festa “Let's Enjoy with APEC – Amusement Expo of 21 APEC Member Economies”

  1. On October 2 (Sat), a festa titled “Let's Enjoy with APEC – Amusement Expo of 21 APEC Member Economies” will be held at the Akarenga Park in the Yokohama Minato Mirai district.

  2. The festa is a citizen-participation type of event providing an opportunity for visitors to learn the cultures of the 21 APEC Member Economies.  The fests includes the events of Origami (paper folding crafts), making cranes to decorate the venues of the APEC Japan Leaders' Week to be held at Pacifico Yokohama in November, and of experiencing "traditional amusements" of the APEC Member Economies.

    - Video letters from 21 prominent people (Olympic medalists, cultural figures, comedians and others)
    - Contents for children (commentary using “Teach me about APEC!” characters)
    - Contents for business persons (commentary by Shujiro Urata, Professor at Waseda University Graduate School)

  3. This event will also be associated with the “Commemorative Event of APEC Japan 2010 in Yokohama” to be hosted by the City of Yokohama the same day (at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse No.1) and is expected to help participants understand APEC Japan 2010 comprehensively.
