Visit to the Republic of Colombia and the United States by Mr. Shuji Kira, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs

- Mr. Shuji Kira, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, will visit the Republic of Colombia and the United States from Friday, August 6 to Wednesday, August 11.
- While in Colombia, Vice-Minister Kira is scheduled to attend the inauguration ceremony of Mr. Juan Manuel Santos, President-elect of the Republic of Colombia, to be held on Sunday, August 7, as Ambassador of Japan on Special Mission. Vice-Minister Kira is also scheduled to carry out exchanges of opinions with high-level figures of the Government of Colombia regarding the strengthening of the bilateral relations in the economic and other fields.
- In the United States (New York City), Vice-Minister Kira will hold meetings with relevant people from the Japanese companies operating in the Americas region, including Latin America, to discuss such issues as public-private cooperation and the new growth strategy.
