  1. H.E. Mr. Michael Somare, Prime Minister of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea, will pay a working visit to Japan from March 28 (Sun) to March 31 (Wed).

  2. During his visit to Japan, Prime Minister Somare is scheduled to meet with Mr. Yukio Hatoyama, Prime Minister of Japan.

  3. Japan and Papua New Guinea have a traditionally friendly relationship and are also closely cooperating on the global stage. It is expected that friendly relations between the two countries will strengthen even further as a result of Prime Minister Somare’s visit to Japan.
