His Excellency Mr. Ali Bongo Ondimba, President of the Gabonese Republic and his spouse will pay a working visit to Japan from October 26 (Tue) to 29 (Fri).
During their stay in Japan, President Bongo and his spouse will be received in audience by Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Japan. President Bongo Ondimba will have a meeting with Mr. Naoto Kan, Prime Minister of Japan. In addition, he will also attend the high-level ministerial segment of the Tenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 10) to be held in Nagoya.
It is expected that this visit will further strengthen the friendly cooperative relations between Japan and the Gabonese Republic.
