The Sixth Regional Promotion Seminar (Chugoku/Shikoku Bloc)

- On January 26 (Tue), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will host the sixth Regional Promotion Seminar (Chugoku/Shikoku Bloc) for local governments to advertise the policies and charm of the respective region to the diplomatic corps in Tokyo.
- In the seminar, the governments of Shimane, Tottori, Okayama, and Kagawa Prefectures and the government of Hiroshima City will give presentations on their regional policies and charm. It is expected that understanding of Japan's provincial areas will be further promoted and a network between the local governments and the diplomatic corps created through this seminar.
- In the previous fiscal year, three seminars of this kind were held respectively for the Kyushu Bloc, the Kansai Bloc, and the Kanto Bloc. In this fiscal year, the fourth seminar for the Hokuriku/Tokai Bloc in July and the fifth seminar for the Hokkaido/Tohoku Bloc was held in September were held. This sixth seminar will be held as a sequence of the previous five seminars.
- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been providing various kinds of cooperation, including this seminar, to support a variety of international efforts being made by local governments.
