Visit to Japan by Hon. Sam Kahamba Kutesa, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uganda

- Hon. Sam Kahamba Kutesa, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uganda,
will visit Japan from June 2 (Tues) to June 7 (Sun) as a guest of the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs, Japan.
- During his visit, Minister Kutesa is scheduled to take part in a meeting
with Mr. Hirofumi Nakasone, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, as well
as hold discussions with institutions including agencies involved in economic
development of Uganda. He also plans to pay a visit to Hiroshima Prefecture.
- Uganda is a nonpermanent member of the United Nations Security Council in 2009 together with Japan. In addition to exchanges of views on the bilateral relationship, topics related to cooperation in the international arena will also be discussed. It is expected that as a result of this visit, the friendly and cooperative relations between Japan and the Republic of Uganda will be further strengthened.
