Visit to Japan of The Honourable Lawrence Cannon, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada

  1. The Honourable Lawrence Cannon, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, will visit Japan from Wednesday, May 13 to Friday, May 15 as a guest of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
     
  2. While he is in Japan, Minister Cannon is scheduled to attend a meeting with Mr. Hirofumi Nakasone, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, where the two Ministers will discuss Japan-Canada relations and the state of international affairs.
     
  3. There are hopes that Minister Cannon's visit to Japan will develop the cooperative relationship between Japan and Canada and further strengthen the friendly relationship between the two countries.
