Visit to Japan by H.E. Monsignor Dominique Mamberti, Secretary for Relations with States of the Holy See

- H.E. Monsignor Dominique Mamberti, Secretary for Relations with States
of the Holy See, will visit Japan from March 15 (Sun) to 20 (Fri) as Guest
of the Minister for Foreign Affairs.
- During his stay in Japan, Monsignor Mamberti will have a Japan-Vatican
Foreign Ministerial Meeting with Mr. Hirofumi Nakasone, Japanese Minister
for Foreign Affairs, to exchange views about the bilateral relationship,
and the regional and international issues. Monsignor Mamberti will
also visit Nagasaki Prefecture to meet its Governor, Mr. Genjiro Kaneko,
and visit the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum and historic churches.
- It is expected that this visit to Japan will further strengthen the friendship between Japan and the Holy See, which has its own unique voice on international issues such as international conflicts, poverty and human rights.
