- Mr. Shaukat Fayaz Ahmed Tarin, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance,
Revenue, Economic Affairs and Statistics, with the status of Federal Minister
of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, will visit Japan from February 4 (Wed)
to 8 (Sun).
- During his visit, Mr. Tarin will have meetings with members of the Government
of Japan including Mr. Takeo Kawamura, Chief Cabinet Secretary; Mr. Hirofumi
Nakasone, Minister for Foreign Affairs; and Mr. Shoichi Nakagawa, Minister
of Finance, to explain Pakistani economic conditions and economic and financial
reforms in Pakistan as well as to exchange views on appropriate forms of
assistance for Pakistan, and the bilateral relationship between Japan and
Pakistan.
- This is Mr. Tarin’s first visit to Japan since taking up his present post in October 2008. It is expected that his visit will further promote the bilateral relation between Japan and Pakistan.
