Visit to Japan of His Excellency Mr. László SÓLYOM President of the Republic of Hungary

His Excellency Mr. László SÓLYOM, President of the Republic of Hungary, will pay an Official Working Visit to Japan from 2 to 6 December, 2009.

During his stay in Japan, the President will make a State Call on his Majesty the Emperor of Japan, and his Majesty the Emperor will host a Court Luncheon in honor of the President.

Mr. Yukio Hatoyama, Prime Minister of Japan will hold a meeting with the President.

The year 2009 marks 140th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and 50th anniversary of the restoration of diplomatic relations between Japan and Hungary and the Government of Japan sincerely welcomes the visit of the President, which will further strengthen the friendly relations between Japan and the Republic of Hungary.
