Visit to Japan by H.E. Mr. Alexander Stubb, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Finland

H.E. Mr. Alexander Stubb, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Finland, will visit Japan from November 3 (Tue) to 6 (Fri) upon invitation by Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan.
During his stay, Minister Stubb is scheduled to meet with H.E. Mr. Katsuya Okada, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, and discuss bilateral relations between Japan and Finland as well as international affairs.
Various events are being carried out in both Japan and Finland this year to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Minister Stubb's upcoming visit to Japan is expected to further develop relations between Japan and Finland.

This is Minister Stubb’s first visit to Japan. Two years have passed since the last visit by a Minister for Foreign Affairs of Finland, which took place in August 2007.
