Visit to Japan by Hon. Dr. Ahmed Shaheed, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives

Hon. Dr. Ahmed Shaheed, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, will visit Japan from January 19th (Mon.) to 21st (Wed.)
During his visit, Hon. Dr. Shaheed will meet with Mr. Hirofumi Nakasone, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Hosei Norota, President of the Japan-Maldives Parliamentarians' League and others in the Japanese Government to exchange views on bilateral relations and other issues.
Hon. Dr. Shaheed’s visit to Japan is the first overseas visit as foreign minister of the new government established last November. It is expected that his visit will further improve bilateral relations between the two countries.
