Visit to Japan of The Right Honorable Stephen Joseph Harper, Prime Minister of Canada and Mrs. Harper

The Right Honorable Stephen Joseph Harper, Prime Minister of Canada, and Mrs. Harper will pay an Official Visit to Japan from July 6 to 10, 2008 and stay as the Guests of the Government of Japan from July 9 to 10, 2008 after Prime Minister’s Participation in the G8 Hokkaido Toyako Summit.
During their stay in Japan, the Prime Minister and Mrs. Harper will be granted an audience by Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Japan.
Mr. Yasuo Fukuda, Prime Minister of Japan, will also hold a meeting with the Prime Minister.
The Government of Japan sincerely welcomes the visit of the Prime Minister and Mrs. Harper, which will further strengthen the friendly relationship between Japan and Canada.
