Visit to Pakistan by Mr. Masahiko Koumura, Minister for Foreign Affairs

  1. Mr. Masahiko Koumura, Minister for Foreign Affairs, will visit the Islamic Republic of Pakistan from May 2 (Fri) to May 5 (Mon).
     
  2. The purpose of Mr. Koumura’s visit is to convey to the new Pakistani administration established last March the message that Japan attaches great importance to, and supports, Pakistan’s efforts for eradicating terrorism, consolidating democracy and sustaining growth, in order to further strengthen the bilateral relations.   Mr. Koumura will hold a meeting with Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi and will also pay courtesy calls on President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani.
