Dr. Yang Jiechi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, to Visit Japan

- Dr. Yang Jiechi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic
of China, will visit Japan from April 17 (Thu) to 20 (Sun) as Guest of the
Minister for Foreign Affairs.
- During his stay, Dr. Yang will have a Japan-China Foreign Ministers’
meeting with Mr. Masahiko Koumura, Minister for Foreign Affairs, interact
with political parties in Japan, and visit Kanagawa, Osaka, and Nara.
- In view of the scheduled visit to Japan by Mr. Hu Jintao, President of the People’s Republic of China, they will exchange views on the present situation and perspective of Japan-China relations and the two countries' cooperation on various international issues to embody the establishment of the "mutually beneficial relationship based on common strategic interests."
