Visit to Japan by H.E. Mr. Jean-Claude Juncker, Prime Minister of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg

- Mr. Jean-Claude Juncker, Prime Minister of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg,
will visit upon invitation by the Japanese government from February 6 (Wed)
to February 10 (Sun).
- During his stay in Japan, Mr. Juncker will be received in audience by
His Majesty the Emperor of Japan. Mr. Juncker will hold a meeting
with Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda to exchange views on bilateral relations
and on the current international situation. He will also meet with
Mr. Yohei Kono, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and Mr. Satsuki
Eda, President of the House of Councillors. Prime Minister Juncker,
who also holds the post of Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Euro
Group, will attend the G-7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors
Meeting on February 9 (Sat).
- It is expected that Mr. Juncker’s visit will strengthen the dialogue between Japan and Luxembourg and further enhance their friendly relations.
