- The 12th meeting and workshop of the Japanese-Austrian Committee for
the 21st Century will be held on 10th and 11th of November in Vienna.

- Meeting and Workshop of the Committee
At the meeting on the 10th November, the members will discuss the topic, ‘Responses to the current financial crisis.’ Concerning the current worldwide financial crisis, the lessons Japan learned from the past financial crisis will be introduced, and prospects and desirable countermeasures will be discussed.
At the workshop on the 11th November, the members will discuss the topic, ‘Tourism Strategies.’ This workshop is open to the public and it is expected that the participants will exchange information and views on the efforts to promote Japanese tourism industry as well as lessons learned from Austria, a tourism oriented country.
***The Japanese-Austrian Committee for the 21st Century was established in regard with the agreement made at the Foreign Ministers’ meeting in 1990, with the aim to vitalize the exchanges between the two countries in various fields, to further promote the mutual understandings, and to seek ways to strengthen the close relations of the two countries. The first meeting was held in 1994, and until now, 11 meeting has been held.
