Visit to Japan of the Third Group of Chinese Senior High School Students on the “Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths (JENESYS) Programme” (Japan-China 21st Century Exchange Program)

- A Third Group of 100 Chinese high school students will visit Japan from
August 18 (Sat) to 26 (Sun) as part of the “Japan-East Asia Network of
Exchange for Students and Youths (JENESYS) Programme.” In Tokyo,
the group will visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and attend a seminar
on Japanese culture. Then the students will participate in classes
and club activities and experience home stays in Tokyo, Iwate Prefecture
and Yamagata Prefecture to deepen exchange with Japanese high school students
and Japanese people in general. They will also visit environmental,
social and cultural facilities.
- Through the exchange program, it is expected that young people from
Japan and China will deepen mutual understanding and build a strong foundation
between the two countries.
- The group consists of high school students selected from Hebei Province, Shanxi Province, Tianjin City, Bejing City, Jilin Province, Yunnan Province and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. For the Japan-China 21st Century Exchange Program in this fiscal year, a total of six groups are invited, consisting of 1,900 students (including the first group of 200 students in the program implemented at the end of May, the second with 400 students in July, and the upcoming 100 students), including three groups on short-term invitation from September to November, and about 40 students under a one-year long-term invitation program starting from September will be invited.
