- Mr. Takeshi Iwaya, Senior Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, will visit
Benin from July 30 (Tue) to August 5 (Sun).
- At the invitation of President Thomas Boni Yayi, Mr. Iwaya will attend the ceremony commemorating the independence of Benin, to be held on August 1 (Wed). On August 2 (Thu), Mr. Iwaya will give information to President Yayi and other key officials of the Government of Benin about the Fourth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD IV), which Japan will host next year, will invite the leaders to participate, and will exchange opinions on bilateral relations.
