Mr. Taro Aso, Minister for Foreign Affairs, to attend ASEAN-related Ministers Meetings in the Republic of the Philippines

- Mr. Taro Aso, Minister for Foreign Affairs, will visit the Philippines
from July 30 (Mon) to August 3 (Fri).
- In the Philippines, Mr. Aso will attend the following meetings and also have bilateral meetings with the other participating foreign ministers.
(1) At the ASEAN+3 (China, Japan and the Republic of Korea) Foreign Ministers Meeting, the future direction of cooperation and the regional situation in East Asia and other issues will be discussed.
(2) At the East Asia Summit (EAS) Ministers Meeting, the future of the EAS will be discussed.
(3) At the ASEAN Post Ministerial Conference (PMC), also participated by major countries outside East Asia, views on cooperation for stability and prosperity in East Asia will be exchanged.
(4) At the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Ministerial Meeting, political and security issues in the Asia Pacific region including issues on the Korean Peninsula will be discussed.
