Senior Officials’ Meeting of the Japan-U.S. Strategic Dialogue and Japan-U.S.-Australia Strategic Dialogue

- The Japan-U.S. Strategic Dialogue and the Japan-U.S.-Australia Strategic Dialogue, both at the level of senior officials, will be held on July 2 (Mon) in Washington, D.C.
- The Japan-U.S. Strategic Dialogue will be attended on the Japanese side by Mr. Mitoji Yabunaka, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and other officials, and on the U.S. side by Mr. R. Nicholas Burns, Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs and other officials. There will be a discussion on matters of mutual concern and interest between Japan and the U.S.
- The Japan-U.S.-Australia Strategic Dialogue will be attended on the Japanese side by Mr. Yabunaka and others, on the U.S. side by Mr. Burns and others, and on the Australian side by Mr. Michael L’Estrange, Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and others. There will be a discussion on matters of common concern to Japan, the U.S. and Australia.
