Visit to Japan by H.E. Mr. Bouasone Bouphavanh, Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic

1. H.E. Mr. Bouasone Bouphavanh, Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, will visit Japan upon invitation by the Japanese Government from May 14 (Mon) to 17 (Thu), 2007.

2. During his visit, the Prime Minister will have an audience with His Majesty the Emperor of Japan. He will also meet with Mr. Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan, and pay courtesy calls on the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the President of the House of Councillors.

3. The Government of Japan sincerely welcomes the visit of the Prime Minister, which will further strengthen the friendly relations between Japan and the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
